2009 Whitewater Kayak Lessons

Kayak Roll Session
Strongly urged for all up and coming whitewater boaters as well ocean kayakers. This class develops a strong skill foundation for developing a roll and thus much higher confidence on the river and in the ocean. Held in the heated pool of The South Yuba Club, novices and experienced kayakers welcome. Student to instructor ratio, 2:1. Minimum required - 2 students. 6:15pm to 8:45pm. $55

Whitewater Workshop
Basics for beginning whitewater paddlers. Take the day to learn balance, maneuverability, and safety, then build your confidence on an easy run on the lower Yuba. You will also learn about dynamics of moving water and improve your strokes. Student to instructor ratio, 4:1. Minimum required - 4 students. 9am to 5pm. $95

Private or Semi Private Lessons
Many people enjoy learning in a group setting. For others, the benefits of one on one can be immeasurable. Available for any level of paddler who wants to work at their own pace or polish certain skills. Private, $195, semi private (2 people) $295
